Just a note on Snoke's guards and them grabbing their weapons and not hurting themselves. Their gloves or part of their arms, can block a lightsaber. You see this at one point in fight scene, one of them blocks a light saber attack with their arm. So that explains why they could grab their weapons. Why their whole body wasn't coated in that is another question.
